Call for Applications for 2013 Annual Suddath Award

Eligibility

Petit Institute Ph.D. candidates in any field of study that are conducting biological or biochemical research at the molecular or cellular level.  Your advisor must be a Peit Institute faculty member.

Awardees Receive

       First Place

  • $1000 cash award
  • Give a presentation about their research on the morning of February 21, 2013, the first day of the 2013 Suddath Symposium
  • Recognition at the symposium
  • Name added to the plaque in the Petit Institue Suddath Seminar Room
  • Recognition throughout Petit Institute communications

 

       Second Place

  • $500 cash award
  • Recognition at the symposium
  • Recognition throughout Petit Institute communications

 

       Third Place

  • $250 cash award
  • Recognition at the symposium
  • Recognition throughout Petit Institute communications

 


Application Process

Applications are to be submitted through an online system.

  • Applicant’s CV
  • A summary of research accomplishments including the importance/implications of trainee's research (up to 6,500 characters including spaces)
  • Unofficial copy of transcript
  • Recommendation letter from the applicant’s advisor

The F.L. “Bud” Suddath Memorial Award was established by Bud Suddath’s family, friends and colleagues in memory of his contributions to Tech. The award is given annually to a graduate student at Georgia Tech who has demonstrated significant bio-research accomplishments.
