My research focus is to discover engineering paradigms contained in developmental biology to motivate therapeutic strategies for heart and valve disease.

    After completing my masters degree I obtained my J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in May 2005. Since then, I have been working as a patent attorney at Sutherland, focusing on patent prosecution in the chemical and biological science areas.
    I also have had the opportunity to come back to Georgia Tech as a visiting professor in the School of Public Policy teaching pre-law classes.
